NEW Racing Club Warwick manager Jason Pyott has wasted little time in strengthening his side.
On the back of disappointing defeats to Stourport Swifts (3-0) and Romulus (3-1) in his opening matches in charge of the Midland League Premier Division side, Pyott has drafted in seven new faces.
Striker Tyrike Richards was the latest recruit on Monday, joining from Midland League Division Two outfit Coventry Alvis where he netted 15 goals this season.
Barwell defender Reece Ford, formerly of Coventry City, will aim to shore up Warwick’s back line, and has been described by Pyott as being “one of the best attacking central defenders” he has seen in non-League.
Five players from Racing’s academy have also signed. Versatile defender Callum Maspers, who has also turned out for fellow Premier Division side Coventry Sphinx this term, midfielders Joe Davison and Beckham Whalley, defender Jack Girling and goalkeeper Josh Pyott will add further depth and offer competition for first-team places.
Should non-league action resume after the current April 4 suspension, Warwick will next turn out away to Tividale on Tuesday April 7.
