THE ORDER of Merit for March was decided at Warwick Golf Club over the weekend with Paul Stallard winning the First Division title.
In muddy and blustery conditions, Stallard was crowned the winner with a respectable 81 gross minus 12 handicap for net 69. Stallard was closely followed by Rick Hughes with 81 – 11 for 70 net.
Heather Allison had her maiden medal victory by taking the Second Division title with a steadily played round of 106 – 36 for a net of 70. Allison’s score was enough to also win her the quarterly Senior Medal too.
This year’s well deserved winner of the Order of Merit us Rob Buckingham.
The competition is the played over the year between April and March, where points are gained according to the competitor’s placement in every monthly Medal.
It goes to the most consistent golfer that accumulates the most points over the year and Buckingham finished an impressive 11 points clear of his nearest contender Graham Harrington.
