GETHY FRISWELL had little time to rest as the Spa Strider was involved in two races in the space of four days.

He raced in Leeds at the Even Splits 5km Series, finishing in 19 minutes and 30 seconds.

Friswell then moved on to the Sheffield Run where he ran 11.5 miles and finished in 1:23.24.

Cam Gow was involved in the Cheddar Gorge Challenge where he earned accumulative points by running a number of races back to back with little rest in between.

Meanwhile, Liz Draper completed the Giant’s Head Marathon which has a 3,400ft elevation.

She finished in eighth place in the F30 category, despite a marshal sending her off on a wrong turn, in 6:41:11.

At the Lulworth Castle 10k trail race the formidable Claire Murphy came home as fifth lady in 46:28.

Helen and Mike Pugh took on a sunny, sweaty, Swansea Half Marathon with Mike finishing in 1:31:16 and his wife Helen in 2:07:46, smashing her personal best by two minutes 15 seconds.

Garath Radbourne finished the Humber Bridge Half Marathon in 2:05:26 followed by Kimberley Fryer (2:23:37).

Up in the Lake District at the Ten Peaks Challenge, James Hartwright showed incredible endurance, finishing in 11:16:20.
