HORSE RACING: RACEGOERS are being encouraged to get into the festive spirit next week as Warwick Racecourse hosts its festive raceday.
The venue will be host to seven competitive races on Thursday, December 14.
And punters could return home with a host of prizes as the racecourse will be handing out tickets and annual memberships to those that dress in the most original and ‘cheesy’ Christmas jumpers.
A Juvenile Hurdle will get proceedings underway at 12.20pm before the Eventmasters Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at 3.35pm closes the day.
Andre Klein, general manager at Warwick Racecourse, said: “It’s vital that all horses racing at Warwick are good jumpers, so we wanted to challenge racegoers to wear ones where all patterns go.
“The Eventmasters Christmas at the Races raceday is one of the highlights of the season here at Warwick.
“We have seven brilliant races taking place during the course of the day and it will provide the perfect opportunity for everyone to start their festive celebrations early.”
