RACING Club Warwick have made Kevin Thornton and Danny Brain their first signings of the summer.
Thornton, a former Coventry City player who made 55 appearances for the club, and later enjoyed stints with Northampton Town and Wrexham, most recently played for Coventry United in the MFL Premier Division.
Meanwhile, Brain joins after stints with Bedworth United, Loughborough Dynamo, Long Eaton and Chelmsley Town, and offers versatility to the team, playing comfortably at right-back or in midfield.
Racers manager Scott Easterlow says his new signings are welcome additions to the club.
“Kev’s a great addition to our squad,” he said.
“Players who have played for me before know that I want to get the ball down and play attractive football, and Kev will fit in perfectly with us.
“Danny was one of the first people I spoke to, and a target we had in mind for a long time, so I’m very pleased he’s agreed to come in.”
