RUGBY UNION - Kenilworth suffer 15th straight league defeat against Bridgnorth

KENILWORTH RFC lost 84-7 away at Bridgnorth to suffer a 15th straight defeat in the league.

The visitors scored their only try courtesy of Iestyn Thomas while Jamie Brownleader added the extras in another heavy defeat at Bandon Lane.

And the result means Kenilworth remain rooted to the bottom of the Regional 1 Midlands table.

Kenilworth defended for large periods in the first half and eventually succumbed to Bridgnorth’s physicality and power as the home side ran in five unanswered tries.

However, the visitors remained determined and scored their only try from a lineout as Thomas dotted down and Brownleader converted.

After the break, injuries meant Kenilworth played with 14-men for a 20-minute period and Bridgnorth took full advantage to score several further tries.

Kenilworth are next in action against Burton on Saturday, February 8 with kick-off at 2.15pm at Glasshouse Lane.
