TABLE TENNIS: KELLY Sibley will lead the England squad at the European Championships this week in Luxembourg.
The experienced 29-year-old will compete alongside fellow Commonwealth Games medallist Tin-Tin Ho, plus Karina Le Fevre and Maria Tsaptsinos.
The team qualified for the second-tier Challenge Division and face group matches against Slovenia, Greece, and Israel.
England have rested their top two men, Paul Drinkhall and Liam Pitchford, and will be represented by Rio Olympian Sam Walker, David McBeath, Helshan Weerasinghe and teenager Tom Jarvis.
They are also in the Challenge Division and play Netherlands, Denmark and Ireland in the group stage.
Simon Mills, Table Tennis England head of talent and performance, said: “For the women, it’s a chance to start the building process for a busy period including the Team World Cup in February, the Commonwealth Games in April and the World Team Championships just after that.”
