A SMALL group of Spa Striders competed in the Leicester 5k series last Wednesday.
Chris McKeown led them home, placing sixth with a time of 17 minutes and 17 seconds.
Tim Beresford followed him at 18:48, Rob Egan at 19:35, Pete Teevan was first in his category in 20:02 and Ben Cohen came in at 21:32.
Emma Teevan came in as 29th woman overall at 29:48.
Also on Wednesday night Striders helped National Grid bring home the first prize trophies for the women and men’s teams in the Massey Ferguson 5K.
Jenny Owen, Helene Wright and Dave Mills all ran.
On Sunday, Simon Ludford was placed seventh overall in the Bath Two Tunnels Marathon, coming in at a fantastic 3:29:45.
Helen and Dave Pugh ran the Kimbolton half-marathon.
Helen ran a half-marathon best time of 2:17:33 and Mike placed 32nd with a time of 1:29:24.
