IAN Allen led the way for Spa Striders in the sixth race in the Warwickshire Road Race League at the Northbrook 10k recently.
Finishing second overall, Allen equalled his own club record at the event, finishing in 34:08, and was followed by Chris McKeown (5th, 34:48), Simon Ludford (15th, 36:40) and Steve Taylor (18th, 37:11).
Laura Peake (86th, 42:05) was the first female Strider home, while Kat Lambeth (154th, 45:50) – who later took on the Spartan race, Susan Cox (177th, 46:44) and Jo Moffat (181st, 47:00) completed the line-up for the ladies team.

Meanwhile, at the Wyre Forest Trail Half Marathon, Andy Roach finished in a swift 1:46:35 to place 39th overall, while Ash Hogg completed the Race to the Stones event – a 100km non-stop race – in 17:17:52.
John-Paul Hunt excelled at the Snowdon Trail Marathon, finishing in five hours and 42 minutes to place 177th overall, while McKeown was also out in force at the EMGP Milton Keynes 10k, crossing the line in 35:10.
Elsewhere, Vicki Smith finished in 3:08:25 at the Upton Triathlon, followed by Claire Westrope – who was third in her age category after completing the course in 3:10:37.
