A HANDFUL of Spa Striders competed at the Regency 10km event on Sunday.
Dexter Teale (39:17) was the first Strider across the line in a new PB, followed by Doug Rattray (45:25), Mark Fowler (45:36), Emma Bird (48:04) who set a new PB, Michael Parker (52:42), Lloyd Harriman (58:51), Julie Grimmett (1:03:08), Sarah Brooke-Taylor (1:03:34), Kirsty Leahy (1:05:01) and Kimberley Fryer (1:05:58).
A special mention goes to Richard Bicknell’s niece, Tracey Culverwell, who ran in his memory.
Richard was hugely supportive of the Regency run and had previously been an incredibly enthusiastic lead marshal.
At the Stafford Half Marathon both Dave Mills and Jenny Owen ran PBs, finishing in 1:22:21 and 1:51:28 respectively.
Helene Wright completed her debut triathlon, the Skipton Sprint Tri in Yorkshire, finishing as 11th lady in 1:18:50.
James Hartwright raced the Bicester Triathlon, also a sprint distance, finishing in 1:00:42.
Meanwhile, Fiona Edwards completed the Radcliffe Trail 10km in 49:37.
