RUNNING: STRIDERS went head to head with Kenilworth, Stratford, Knowle and Dorridge last week in the annual interclub challenge.
Hosted by Kenilworth, the course started and finished at Castle Farm Sports Centre and twisted over 8.5km of terrain.
It proved to be an extremely eventful evening with the first third of the field going the wrong way and having to come back on themselves.
Kenilworth took the womens, mens and overall prizes.
Elsewhere Dan Stannard completed his first ultra-marathon – the Peak Trails 30 – in a strong time of 5:30:51.
In Wales, both Keith Wilson and Lucy Tugwell both competed at the Race the Train event in Tywyn.
Keith competed in the Rotary (14 miles) Challenge in 1:49:33, the train won by 1:54.
Meanwhile Lucy completed the Quarry 10km challenge and beat the train, finishing in 54:38 as the 2nd V35.
Finally overseas Steven Hession completed the Copenhagen Ironman in 10:57:10.
