IN an usually quiet weekend for the club, Spa Striders took part in the inaugural Tempo Events Spring Duathlon at Warwickshire College in Moreton Morrell.
Out of the small group, Mike Pugh was the first Strider over the line, finishing fourth overall and with a 2:11:00 time.
Clive Parpworth followed soon after, finishing in ninth (2:18:16), whilst Lucy Tugwell completed the trio of Striders as the fifth fastest lady (2:46:50).
Elsewhere, the only other Strider representing the club was Stuart Williamson at the 16-mile Dorney Lake Marathon preparation race.
He posted a time of 2:17:24, to suggest he is heading into the event in fine shape.
