FOUR of Rugby Swimming Club’s artistic swimmers were given the opportunity to represent the club on the international stage at the Synchro Cup in Luxembourg.
Lola Huett, Frankie Klym, Keva Ennis and Aaron Lee headed to the 30th edition of the Synchro Cup having impressed in the under-12 category at the National Age Groups Competition in March.
The four swimmers competed against clubs from Luxembourg, Estonia, Czechia, Belgium, and Netherlands.
And all four swimmers took part in the under-12 figures competition as Huett placed 12th, Klym 34th, Ennis 38th and Lee 55th in a strong field of 102 competitors.
Next up was the under-12 solos as Huett produced an outstanding display to place fifth with a score of 122.5053 whilst Ennis was 12th out of 14 swimmers.
In the under-12 duets event, Huett and Klym placed sixth with a score of 59.6333 for their routine as they swam to the tune of the upbeat and energetic Runaway Baby by Bruno Mars.
Ennis and Lee were the only mixed duet and competed against all-girls duets to Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr’s Me and My Shadow and placed 14th with a score of 54.800.
Both Rugby duets improved on their scores from the National Age Groups competition with the club excited to see how their young swimmers continue to develop over the rest of the competitive season.
