THE TEEVAN family were out in force in Spa Striders colours at the Venice Marathon on Sunday.
Pete Teevan crossed the line in the picturesque Italian city in a personal-best time of 3hrs 14mins 42secs, ranking him 289th overall, while his wife Emma Teevan completed the 10k race alongside sons Matty and Dan Teevan in 1:11:37.
At the Cannock Chase Half Marathon, Jo Fleming led a Striders contingent home as the third-fastest woman in 29th place following her 1:46:01 finish.
She was followed shortly after by the trio of Susie Stannard, Kate Gadsby and Claire Murphy, who crossed the line together in 2:05:30.
Closer to home, Tim Down was the first club member across the line at the Rugby Half Marathon, finishing in 28th with a 1:27:06 time.
He was followed by teammates Andy Pope (100th, 1:38:20), Kat Robertson (112th, 1:39:43), Mike Cox (224th, 1:49:28) and Kevin McKeever (282nd, 1:53:52) in completing the race, contested by more than 700 runners.
Ellen Powell (587th, 2:19:03) and Kathryn Houliston (642nd, 2:34:21) were in action in the capital at the River Thames Half Marathon, while in China, Steve French was busy climbing almost 3,000 feet of steps at the Great Wall Half Marathon to finish in 2:49:15.
