PLAYERS from Kenilworth Tennis Club have made a strong start to the winter season in both the Veterans League and Stratford League.

In the Veterans League, the women’s first team have recorded one win and one draw from their opening two matches in Division One.

The women’s second team currently sit top of Division Two and the third team saw their early season fixtures postponed due to bad weather.

Elsewhere, in the Stratford League, the club’s A team lead the Division Four table as a number of Kenilworth’s junior players impressed.

The B and C teams also sit top their respective divisions with Kenilworth enjoying a fine start to the winter season.

Ladies captain, Carolyn Lindsay said: “It’s been a very promising start to the winter season.

“Well done to all our players for their commitment and team spirit – keep it up, ladies.”

The pick of the results saw the club’s under-10s team produce an outstanding performance to win 10-0 against Stratford.

The men’s winter teams endured a slower start to their campaigns but are starting to find form and climb the league tables.
