WARWICK Hockey Club’s fifth side clinched runners-up spot and promotion from South East Four with a thumping 6-1 victory over Stratford 6ths.

Warwick led by two going into half-time after Stewart Seymore’s double, whilst the third goal from Albie Waterton from a short corner enhanced Warwick’s position further.

Stratford pulled a goal back, but Seymore’s third of the afternoon extended the lead once more.

Will Hawkins made it five, before Ian MacDonald put the icing on the cake to seal the win.

In the decisive game at the top, Hampton beat Sutton Coldfield, ensuring Hampton win the league, with Warwick finishing runners-up ahead of Sutton on goal difference.
