Weekend to forget for Hunningham

CRICKET: HUNNINGHAM’s first team experienced a weekend to forget following the team’s latest fixture at Wolvey.

Hunningham were inserted into bat following the toss and could never find form with the bat.

Only skipper Charles Wade reached a credible score with 23* as Hunningham collapsed to 70 all out from 29 overs.

In reply, Wolvey were not troubled as they reached their target for the loss of just three wickets in 14 overs.

Hunningham’s second team suffered a losing draw at home to Wolvey 2nds.

Tight bowling from Hunningham restricted Wolvey to 188 from their 45 overs.

In reply, Hunningham – helped by Staniforth and Harrison who scored 63 and 39 respectively – could only reach 177/6 from 45 overs.
