RACING Club Warwick saw their FA Cup run come to an end at the second round qualifying stage following a 1-0 replay defeat against Evesham United.
A second-half goal from Lewis Middleton knocked the Racers out of the competition at the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium.
The defeat saw Warwick miss the chance to reach the third round qualifying stage for just the third time in their history.
Middleton broke the deadlock on 71 minutes when he changed direction and planted a shot into the net.
That came after the two teams played out a remarkable 3-3 draw in the original tie last weekend.
The Racers surrendered a three-goal lead at Townsend Meadow as Evesham forced a replay with an injury-time goal.
Scott Easterlow’s side beat Droitwich Spa, Lye Town and Kidsgrove Athletic en route to second round qualifying.
It marks the first time the Racers have reached second round qualifying for the first time since the 1998/99 season.
Racing Club Warwick are next in action against Bourne Town on Saturday, September 20 with kick-off at 3pm at Abbey Lawn.
